Our Mission
From a temporary safe haven to a permanent home
The war has lasted longer than anticipated. For the hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian families who remain in Canada, the ability to build a long-term future here is essential. It also contributes to the development of the country that has welcomed us as friends and neighbours.
With this initiative, we aim to create a clear and fair pathway to permanent resident status for Ukrainians who arrived during the war. This is not just a matter of security, but also of jointly building a stronger future for Canada.
-
This is about security — and about building a stronger future for Canada together.

Thank You to Canada
"We, Ukrainians, express our sincere gratitude to the people of Canada for their open doors and hearts during the most difficult times. The CUAET program has been a lifeline for nearly 300,000 people, offering safety, community, and hope. Your support has affirmed our shared values-freedom, compassion, and human dignity. Thank you for your solidarity."
Why your MP?
Physical letter to a Member of Parliament (MP) carries special weight. MPs represent the interests of their constituents and convey their positions to the government. When constituents contact their MPs, it sends a clear signal about the importance of an issue to the community.
To simplify the process, we have created a Personal Dashboard for campaign members — a simple tool with step-by-step instructions and templates.
How it works
1. Create your account – Register in a minute to get access to campaign tools.
2. Find your MP and prepare your letter – Choose a template and add your personal touch.
3. Send the letter – Sign it and send it by mail.

QUESTIONS ABOUT THE UKRAINIAN PATHWAY TO PR
The Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) was an urgent and generous response that helped Ukrainians find safety quickly when the war began.
Unlike refugees, who receive permanent protection, participants in CUAET were granted temporary resident status.
It was the right first step — but now, after more than three years, many families remain in a temporary situation. Without updates to their status, they could soon face legal and humanitarian uncertainty.
CUAET was never meant to be permanent — it was designed to provide quick protection during a crisis.
But as the war continues and returning home remains impossible for many, temporary visas are expiring. Families who have already built lives in Canada — working, renting homes, raising children — now face difficult questions about their future.
The next step should transform this temporary protection into a stable, fair pathway toward permanent residency.
At the start, Canada offered one-time $3000 for each adult and $1500 for each child 18 year old and younger financial help to cover essential needs. It was a vital gesture of compassion.
Today, most Ukrainians are fully self-reliant, contributing to the workforce, local businesses, and community life.
However, delays in processing documents and uncertainty around status make daily life harder. People are integrated, but their legal situation is still fragile.
Stability helps everyone. Ukrainians have already become part of Canada’s social and economic fabric — working in healthcare, education, construction, and community services.
Allowing them to stay permanently means securing skilled, motivated people who are already contributing.
At the same time, it prevents future instability or forced relocation for families who have nowhere else to go.
Canada’s first response was a success — it was fast, humane, and saved lives. But the situation has changed.
People who arrived under CUAET have now lived here for years, yet their future remains uncertain due to long document reviews and changing immigration rules.
Without a clear, fair solution, many could soon find themselves without status, despite having already adapted and become part of Canadian communities.
